Project Description

The Friends Arena, also known as Nationalarenan, is a retractable roof multi-purpose stadium in Stockholm, Sweden. Located next to the lake Råstasjön in Solna, just north of the City Centre, it is the biggest stadium in Scandinavia. Since its opening, the venue has served as Sweden’s national stadium for men’s football, hence its name. The venue has a total capacity of 65,000 at concerts and 50,000 seated at football matches, but the stadium can be scaled down to provide for smaller events with approximately 20,000 guests.

This stadium needed optimised security management for each type of event. AppVision™ manages access control, intrusion, toilet lock status (Open/Closed) and video surveillance cameras (public entry/exit scenarios). AppVision™ has been configured for several different scenarios: concert mode (half of the equipment is disabled), athletics mode and football mode. According to these pre-programmed scenarios, AppVision™ sends commands to subsystems.
